Health First: YG Entertainment Announces Lineup Adjustment for Babymonster's Debut

YG Entertainment's much-anticipated new girl group, 'Babymonster,' is poised to make their debut on November 27, marking the end of a seven-year wait since the introduction of the first girl group, Black-Ink, under JG Entertainment. The group comprises seven members from diverse nationalities: Ahyeon, Haram, and Rora from Korea, Pharita and Chiquita from Thailand, and Ruka and Asa from Japan.

However, a recent report from News One on November 15 has revealed a change in the lineup just ahead of their debut. According to the report, Babymonster will now debut as a six-member group, with Ahyeon unfortunately unable to join the rest of the team due to health reasons. While there is a possibility of Ahyeon rejoining the group later, she will not be able to participate in the debut activities.

A representative from YG Entertainment officially confirmed the news, stating, “BABYMONSTER will be debuting as a six-member group with Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Haram, Rora, and Chiquita. After careful discussion, it was decided that Ahyeon, who had been preparing with BABYMONSTER, will be taking a break for the time being to focus on her health.”

The statement continued, expressing regret at not being able to introduce Ahyeon as part of Babymonster but emphasized that the decision was made prioritizing the artist's well-being. The agency assured full support for Ahyeon's recovery and expressed hopes for her return in good health.

We join YG Entertainment in extending our best wishes to Ahyeon for a swift and complete recovery. The fans eagerly anticipate Babymonster's debut and look forward to Ahyeon's return to the group when she is fully healed.
