The Untold Story: Jimin's Hard Work and Staff's Special Care

Namjoon appeared in the new Hybe video, "Hybe T&D Story" (Training and Development), alongside the Head of T&D at Hybe, Mrs. Seon Jeong.

During the interview, both RM and Mrs. Jeong explained how BTS began their journey with a lack of resources. Mrs. Jeong first met BTS as trainees and described their dedication to becoming the best. She specifically highlighted Jimin and how he faced the possibility of being kicked out of the group because he focused solely on contemporary dance. Mrs. Jeong mentioned,

"There are many trainees who practice hard, but I believe Jimin of BTS stands out. What impressed me about him was that Jimin was already a dancer before joining, so he had the habit of dancing smoothly. However, as a pop artist, he needed to adjust. Since many dance moves require a lot of power, he had to break that habit. We gave him that mission, and in the following month's evaluation, I received feedback that he had improved significantly. I was surprised to hear that. I still vividly remember how amazed I was by how much he practiced."

"In Jimin's case, he was really hard on himself, to the point where we thought it was harsh. The T&D team, which used to be called the 'Artist Development Team' back then, took care of him a lot."

As we all know, Jimin is known for working hard and being an artist who strives to give his fans the perfect output. Looking back on Jimin's journey, he demonstrated courage, consistency, and patience in his practices, achieving the best results.

After BTS announced their hiatus to fulfill their mandatory military training, members began releasing solo albums to showcase their individual colors. Jimin was the third member to release a solo album after J-Hope and RM. Jimin's album, "Face," was a tremendous success, breaking many records in the K-pop industry. The two singles from the album, "Set Me Free Pt. 2" and "Like Crazy," reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. In South Korea, "Face" set sales records by selling over 1 million copies on the first day and over 1.45 million in the first week. This accomplishment made Jimin the first solo artist in Hanteo Chart history to achieve such a feat. The album also debuted at number one on the Circle Album Chart.

All these achievements are a result of the blood, sweat, and tears Jimin poured into his practice. He never gave up on himself and continued doing what he loved. Jimin serves as the best example for the younger generation to get motivated.
