BLACKPINK's Jisoo: From 'Snowdrop' to 'Omniscient Reader' – Confessions from Middle School Days Revealed


"Humble queen": Jisoo surprises fans by discussing reading a new drama and acknowledging that she didn't feel pretty in middle school.


With Snowdrop, Jisoo from BLACKPINK made her acting debut. Starring South Korean sensation Jung Hae-in as well, the drama was a hit and helped launch the BLACKPINK idol's great acting career. According to reports, Jisoo will now play Young-ju in the next film Omniscient Reader, which is scheduled for release in 2025.Moreover, Influenza, a new fantasy thriller based on Han Sang-woon's book of the same name, is said to star Park Jung-min, Jisoo, and Kim Joon-han. 


This project is under the direction of Yoon Sung-hyun, who has directed films including Time to Hunt, Bleak Night, Jury, and others. That's why her fans were excited and enthralled when the singer disclosed that she was reading a new script for a movie.


In the meantime, Jisoo revealed more on the Lee Hyeri show that she didn't think she was popular and gorgeous in school until her peers' behaviour gave her doubts. She talked honestly about how she felt ignored until something happened to her that made her realise otherwise.


After the video was released, one of the singer's former classmates came out with a story of how popular Jisoo was in middle school. The former classmate, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that Jisoo was thought to be quite "pretty" by her peers and was frequently complimented on her appearance.The singer's former classmate's message was screenshotted and translated into English by Twitter user @blackpinkpabo.


"Hey Jisoo, I'm your middle school classmate. But well. What really are you talking about? hehehehe Everyone still called you pretty back then. Jisoo's family—Unnie and Oppa were well-known for their beauty—lol I believe Jisoo was the only one who was clueless of her popularity since she was the kind of person who got along with everyone and was laid back."


In response to the teases of Lee Hyeri's talk show, BLINKs went to Twitter, calling Jisoo as “beautiful". also fans expressing their excitement for her acting return at the same time.
