According to @romantic_tae on the X, the graduation ceremony at Nonsan Training Center involved eight companies from two units, with 800 soldiers in attendance. The four individuals were honored with the elite trainee award, while two regiments received the Best Squad Group award. Six individuals were present at the podium to accept these accolades.

BTS fans flooded social media to share their pride and excitement over RM and V being recognized as elite trainees from such a large pool of soldiers.
At the Nonsan Training Centre graduation ceremony on January 16, BTS members Kim Taehyung and Kim Namjoon successfully completed their basic training, earning the Elite Trainee award for their exceptional performance. Reports from Yonhap News confirmed that RM and V were among the five soldiers honored.
To achieve the Elite Trainee award, a trainee must accomplish various physical challenges, including 86 curl-ups in 2 minutes, 72 push-ups in 2 minutes, a 3 km run within 12 minutes and 30 seconds, a 1.5 km run in 5 minutes and 28 seconds, and 16 out of 20 zero-point shots.
A netizen claimed that, on this particular day, only four trainees were bestowed with the Elite Trainee status, with RM and V being two of them. RM shared glimpses from the ceremony on social media, showcasing him in his military uniform alongside the taehyung.
