Jungkook of BTS Achieves Milestone as Full Member of KOMCA with 22 Credited Songs

 


The golden maknae of BTS, Jungkook, celebrated a significant accomplishment on January 31, 2024, when he became promoted to full membership in the Korean Music Copyright Association (KOMCA). KOMCA is a non-profit organisation that oversees public performance, broadcasting, mechanical recording, reproduction, and other areas of managing the music rights of South Korean artists.


The news that Jungkook had become the first vocal line member and the fourth BTS member overall to achieve full membership in KOMCA thrilled fans.


This promotion means that Jungkook is now officially credited as a songwriter for a total of twenty-two songs, with the latest addition being the live version of "Dreamers".  This recognition highlights his significant contributions to music creation, and he will now receive royalties for these copyrighted works.
