Yonhap News reported on May 18, 2024, that the members of NewJeans reportedly filed a petition with the court the previous day during the initial court proceedings between HYBE and ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin. The court session was convened in response to HYBE's plea for a temporary injunction against Min Hee Jin and her voting rights concerning ADOR's management.
This petition marks the first official action taken by the members amidst the ongoing dispute. Until now, they had remained silent on the matter and had not issued any personal statements regarding it. The specifics of the petition have not been disclosed to the public.
Since their debut, the members have demonstrated a strong connection with their CEO. During the court session on May 17, 2024, Min's legal representative also affirmed that "NewJeans wish to stand by Min Hee Jin."
